Application for ICAP examination – in person
Thank you for your interest in ICAP exams and certification.
Please note: Only professionals with sufficient number of years of Clinical/Counselling experience in the Substance Use Disorders (SUD) field can apply for ICAP credentials. Others may apply to take the exam as part of UTC Trainer requirements or for other professional reasons.

We ask that you only create one user account for your primary email; which is how you will receive further communication from GCCC.
Generally, there are two categories of people looking to take this exam:
- If you are applying to take the exam as part of the certification process click on the appropriate ICAP examination link below then complete the application, and submit all required documentation.
- If you are applying to just take the exam, please click on the appropriate ICAP examination link below; check the box at the top of the application that reads: I am only applying to take the ICAP examination but not seeking credentials; and proceed to complete the application and upload any required documents.
